2. Organizational Overview

Organizational Overview

3Wrkz is an owner-engaged technology firm focused on the design, delivery, and modernization of enterprise software solutions for organizations that depend on reliable systems, disciplined execution, and strong operational alignment. The firm's leadership background is rooted in healthcare, home health, enterprise architecture, workflow automation, cloud delivery, and regulated-environment software engineering.

For the VNA Meals on Wheels 2.0 initiative, 3Wrkz's value is not based on a high-volume staffing model or a distant account-management structure. It is based on direct access to senior leadership and hands-on involvement from the firm's owners throughout the full project lifecycle. 3Wrkz owners will remain directly involved from discovery and solution design through implementation, testing, cutover, and ongoing support.

Ownership and Leadership Model

3Wrkz is captained by Brian Davis and Steve Schaneville, who bring complementary strengths across delivery leadership, enterprise architecture, healthcare workflow design, and modern cloud-based solution development.

Brian Davis brings more than twenty years of experience designing, building, and scaling enterprise systems that support clinical operations, compliance, and service delivery in highly regulated environments. His background includes major healthcare and insurance organizations such as Amedisys, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, and Unum. His experience combines hands-on system design with implementation leadership, workflow automation, data quality discipline, and operational reliability.

Steve Schaneville brings more than twenty-five years of experience as a software architect and technology leader across healthcare, enterprise consulting, line-of-business software, and AI-enabled automation. His background includes major architecture and delivery roles at Amedisys (home health), Sparkhound (software consultancy), Lewis Computer Services (a home health EMR SaaS platform provider), and 3Wrkz. His experience spans large-scale EMR platforms, Microsoft-based enterprise application development, technical team leadership, framework design, and scalable solution architecture.

Together, the 3Wrkz leadership team offers a practical blend of operational understanding and technical depth. For VNA, that means the people shaping the solution are the same people accountable for delivering it.

Relevant Industry Background

3Wrkz has documented organizational background in healthcare, home health, and other regulated operating environments where accuracy, continuity, auditability, and service reliability are non-negotiable.

Relevant background reflected in the current proposal record includes:

  1. Amedisys: enterprise clinical systems, EMR architecture, scheduling-related workflows, back-office process automation, and large-scale home health operations.
  2. MedCentris: custom healthcare application delivery and ongoing support for a production wound care EMR environment.
  3. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana: enterprise healthcare platform architecture and workflow automation.
  4. Unum: large-scale delivery leadership in a highly regulated insurance environment.
  5. Lewis Computer Services: software development for home health organizations, including clinical information, scheduling, billing, and receivables.
  6. Turner Industries: custom mobile and offline-capable operational software for complex field environments.

Just as important, both Steve and Brian bring accumulated knowledge of the home medical services domain that materially shortens the learning curve at project start. That includes familiarity with the terminology, operating rhythms, and system behaviors that tend to shape real-world solution design in this space: referrals and intake, eligibility and authorization tracking, payer- and claims-based billing workflows, clinical and service documentation, HIPAA requirements, and the practical realities of regulated service delivery. Much of that understanding is not something a delivery team can absorb from a requirements list alone. It is built over time through repeated exposure to healthcare and home health environments. For VNA, that means faster domain alignment during discovery, sharper questions earlier in the process, better-informed design decisions, and a quicker path from kickoff to credible working direction.

This background is directly relevant to VNA's objectives for MOW 2.0, which require more than product selection. The project calls for disciplined modernization of a mission-critical operating environment that touches intake, scheduling, routing, clinical context, billing, reporting, integration, and long-term platform evolution.

Delivery Strengths Relevant to VNA

3Wrkz's background is especially relevant to VNA in the following areas:

  1. Legacy modernization in operationally sensitive environments.
  2. Healthcare and home health workflow understanding.
  3. Enterprise application architecture and Microsoft-oriented technology delivery.
  4. Custom software design where operational fit matters more than generic feature coverage.
  5. Integration-first solution design, including Azure-hosted patterns and API-based connectivity.
  6. Practical implementation leadership grounded in business operations, not just technical theory.

The documented experience of the 3Wrkz principals includes large-scale user populations, enterprise-grade application environments, workflow automation, regulated-data handling, and long-term production support. That combination is well aligned to VNA's need for a solution partner that can both replace critical legacy capabilities and establish a durable foundation for later phases of the MOW 2.0 roadmap.

Organizational Fit for This RFP

VNA is seeking a partner that can help modernize a complex service-delivery ecosystem in a controlled, credible, and implementation-ready manner. 3Wrkz is well positioned for that role because the firm combines:

  1. deep senior-level healthcare and enterprise software experience
  2. direct owner accountability
  3. practical architecture and implementation leadership
  4. experience in environments where compliance, continuity, and service execution are central

The 3Wrkz approach is intentionally owner-led and execution-focused. For VNA, that means direct access to decision-makers, reduced translation loss between strategy and delivery, and a delivery model built around accountability, adaptability, and sustained engagement across the full life of the project.
